This is a collective book about the topic of Bronzework in the Phoenician-Punic world and its social, historical and cultural implications. The work brings together a score of specialists from several universities and research centres from Europe. From a mainly basis, the list of contents is complemented with visions from Ancient History, Semitic Studies etc.The book is divided into four parts, which included the treatment of the Phoenician bronzes in ancient texts; the characterization of the main Phoenician bronze productions, the regional developments and technological issues. In addition, introductory paragraphs deals with the general problem of the Phoenician bronzes and its relationship with the Orientalizing handicraft and other ancient Mediterranean cultures (such as Greek or Etruscan).
