The Spanish-Moroccan monograph called Archaeological map of Northern Morocco (2008-2012). Field survey and sites, a first step. Vol. I, published in No. 5 of the Villes et sites archéologiques du Maroc Series – INSAP, Rabat- is presented. This volume contains the results of the research project of the same name, which has allowed substantial progress in the knowledge of human settlement in northern Morocco, with the identification of 204 archaeological sites and 62 isolated findings, most of them completely unedited.

The project, developed in historical process (Prehistory and pre-Islamic and Islamic Archaeology) is interdisciplinary, and has combined surface surveys with stratigraphic archaeological digs on the most relevant sites. The presentation will be made by the co-directors (Drs. Baraka Raissouni, Darío Bernal, Abdelaziz El Khayari, Jose Ramos and Mehdi Zouak), accompanied by the Director of the Editorial UCA -University of Cádiz- (Jose Marchena), making a synthesis of the findings and the importance of the results obtained in diachronic key.
