1948 Campaign

Vicente Ruiz Argilés and Carlos Posac Mon directed the 1948 excavation campaign. They explored about 160 square metres to a maximum depth of 2 metres, and finished excavation of departments XVIII, XIX, XX, and XXI, as well as discovering 15 more tombs.

Department XVIII provided most of the findings. Ruiz Argilés and Posac discovered 11 tombs there, added to the 2 found in 1945, of not all of which there are photographs.
