Reading room service. It is the main point for gaining access to book and journal collections. The following rules apply in general to the library:

  • No more than 5 works can be simultaneously used.
  • No more than 3 closed access works can be simultaneously used.
  • Closed access stacks will be delivered until 14.00 h.
  • Readers are requested to demonstrate respect and appropriate behavior conducts, avoiding disturb other readers.
  • Readers must treat library materials with care and must be responsible of their use.
  • Items borrowed in the Reading Room will be returned to the Reference Desk.
  • The National Archaeological Museum’s Library is a no lending library.

Information and Reference Service. Library staff will help you solve general enquiries about our services and collections by contacting us in person, by phone or by email.

OPAC workstations. Search the Library catalogue to find and request collections in the Reading Room.

Copying service. Copying service is subject to the national Copyright Law. Readers must complete a “Copying application form” which can be found in the Reference Desk. All copies will be expressly approved by Library staff and no more than 10% of works published since 1958 can be copied. Full-text journal articles can be copied.

The Library assumes no responsibility for copyright infringements resulting from the use of copies by readers.
