Greek vases from Paestum in the collection of the Marquis of Salamanca

The aim of this project is to study and catalogue the Greek vases from Paestum, Italy, in the collection of the Marquis of Salamanca. In light of finds made in southern Italian necropolises in recent years, we will review the attributions to different pottery workshops and authors of the vessels in the MAN collection and, in a second phase, study their iconography and the Marquis of Salamanca and his archaeological activity in southern Italy.

Institutions in Spain (Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, National Archaeological Museum) and Italy (Università degli Studi di Salerno) are participating in the study.
