The Vitrina Cero “We’re Fashionable: Prehistoric Attire and Contemporary Creativity” shows different aspects about clothing pointed by archaeological research (design, tailoring, functionality and identity) through The National Archaeological Museum prehistoric collections. Those same objects and the information available today about prehistoric attire and adornment, inspire the five garments designed by Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid (Technical University of Madrid - UPM) students. This round table brings together the Vitrina Cero organizers with both Archaeology and contemporary fashion design specialists, with the aim of finding and establishing connections, gaps, influences and knowledge transfers related with the human practice of dressing and embellishment, material culture, identity and design.
