15th International Conference on Paleo-Hispanic Languages and CulturesSalto de línea Salto de línea The year 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the First Colloquium on Pre-Roman Languages and Cultures, organized in Salamanca in 1974 by Francisco Jordá, Javier de Hoz, and Luis Michelena, and chaired by Antonio Tovar, following the discovery of the first Botorrita bronze. This colloquium was a landmark in advancing research in this field within the broader area of studies of the Ancient World. Since then, thirteen more colloquia have taken place, providing a platform for discussing epigraphic, archaeological, historical, and linguistic developments over the past half-century, as well as new interpretations related to the study of the languages and cultures of ancient Hispania. To mark this commemoration, the 15th International Conference on Paleo-Hispanic Languages and Cultures will be held in Madrid from October 16 to 18.
