40 Years of the Medieval Archaeology Congresses (1985–2025).

Forty years after the 1st Congress of Medieval Archaeology (Huesca, 1985), the participants in this roundtable will reflect on the contributions of archaeological research to the understanding of the medieval period in the Iberian Peninsula.The discussion will focus on various topics, including the study of religious, domestic, and defensive architecture, pottery production, and burial sites—subjects all addressed in the recently published proceedings of the 7th Congress of Medieval Archaeology in Spain and Portugal (Sigüenza, 2023).During the event, the location of the 8th Congress of Medieval Archaeology will be announced.
