The Proceedings of the International Congress "Small Towns, an urban reality in Roman Hispania" collect the results of a meeting that had this type of cities as protagonists through 50 communications that allow a vision from the point of view of its geographical scope, legal, urban, architectural, economic, social and religious. This is a Hispanic contribution to the problem discussed in the other Roman provinces where these types of cities are alluded to, which may have urban characteristics such as sacred and public buildings, a defensive wall and urban houses, observing a disproportion between public buildings with a clear preponderance about the private.
