The 219 postcards of France were bought or photographed on two occasions during the trip. The first was on the journey from Spain to Italy, when they stayed in Nîmes, Orange and Arles. The second was during the return to Spain from Italy, when they only stopped in Paris. Nearly half the postcards are from there, and are of landscapes, monuments and works of art.
