Paris

Many of the 116 postcards comprising the Paris series show the city’s appearance in 1930, many being aerial views by the publisher/printer Aero-Photo. Another large group show the scientific speciality in mediaeval ceramics and art and Emilio Camps’ personal tastes, art objects, paintings and archaeology in the different museums visited: Musée des Antiquités Nationales, the Louvre, the Musée Rodín, Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Musée de Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

Because of this variety of subjects, the photographs are also varied, from images by the firm Levy et Neurdein to others by Lapina et fils, R. Lamarche, A. Leconte or E. Papeghini.
