The two postcards that Emilio Camps purchased of the Greek colonies of Tyndaris and Tauromenion were published, like nearly all those featuring Sicilian archaeological sites, by Edizioni Francesco Verderosa. The images are sepia-toned and taken using a late 19th-century photographic technique.
They show the semi-ruinous condition of the theatre at Taormina, with Schisó Harbour and the volcano of Mt. Etna in the background, and part of the powerful walled enclosure of Tindari.
