Congresses and tributes

Louis Siret attended scientific gatherings and congresses held in different European cities between 1912 and 1932, and the Belgian archaeologist filled several dossiers with all the related documentation: correspondence, notes and drafts of his speeches, originals and printer's proofs, drawings and photographs.

These events were the International Congress of Prehistoric Anthropology and Archaeology in Geneva (1912), the 3rd International Archaeological Congress in Rome (1912), the 13th International Congress of Prehistoric Anthropology and Archaeology in Monaco (1906), the International Congress of Prehistoric Anthropology and Archaeology in Coimbra–Oporto (1930), and the International Congress of Prehistoric and Protohistoric Sciences in London (1932).

Louis Siret also participated in tributes such as those given in honour of Henri Bégouen (1930), José Ramón Mélida Alinari (1931) and Martins Sarmento (1932–1934), and he likewise organised all documentation related to these events: sign-up forms for attending the tributes, correspondence with the organisers, and notes and originals of the speeches he gave there.
