Documentation on Almizaraque

Siret excavated the archaeological site of Almizaraque on two occasions: the southwest sector in 1903–1906, when he filled two field journals; and, many years later, the central and upper part of the site in 1932 and 1933.

These excavations led him to produce a copious amount of accurately scaled plans, detailed plans, cross-sections and notes, drawings of finds, structures and detailed sections of the trenches he used as an excavation system on his second dig, widening them whenever he came across a concentration of interesting materials.

This staggering quantity of information on the excavation itself is accompanied by additional documentation derived from its study.
