OBJECTIVES AND THEMATIC COVERAGE

The Boletín del Museo Arqueológico Nacional is an official scientific journal of the museum, published yearly, with two purposes: to publicise its collection and lines of research and to publish a wide spectrum of studies by external researchers, not necessarily related with the museum’s cultural properties or projects, about archaeology, history, museology and conservation, documentation and dissemination of cultural heritage.

SECTIONS OF THE JOURNAL

The Journal has four sections:

• Editorial: a space reserved for expression of the editorial board.
• Articles: research studies in subjects of an archaeological or historic nature, or about new museological matters, dissemination, conservation or documentation, whether publicising the National Archaeological Museum’s scientific activity and lines of research or disseminating other external studies focused on archaeology, museology and heritage conservation, documentation and dissemination.
• Variable: news and news stories, short studies, scientific reviews, etc.
• Inside the museum: scientific works and activities carried out during the year. Salto de línea

FREQUENCY OF PUBLICATION AND EDITOR

It is an annual publication, edited by the Sub-Directorate General for Documentation and Publications. Technical Secretariat General. Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

Por último, en relación al tipo de autoría y perspectiva de género, el último volumen (n.º 43, año 2024) ha publicado 26 trabajos de los que 16 son de autoría individual (6 firmantes de género femenino y 10 de género masculino) y 10 de autoría colectiva, con un total de 32 firmantes de los que 12 son autoras y 20 son autores.
