The Archaeological News Room of the National Archaeological Museum is a new exhibition space, inaugurated in November 2024, the year in which the Museum commemorates its first decade since the comprehensive reform, which resulted in a transformation of the internal and public spaces of the museum, its exhibition discourse and its museographical design.
In the context of this commemoration and in line with the vocation of our museum as a common home for the archaeological community and a meeting place, this new exhibition area has been set up in a privileged place on the Ground Floor of the Museum, intended to house new archaeological finds of interest from different territories of our country.
It is therefore an invitation to the different public administrations with jurisdiction in archaeology to publicize their latest archaeological discoveries, either at state, regional or local level. Occasionally, our museum, as a living and dynamic entity, will also be able to exhibit recent acquisitions or restorations of its collections.
Location: 0th floor, between the Activities Room and the shop, behind the tickets office.
Free admission.
